Dido on the Edge – a new fantasy novel releasing 2026!

Dido Dahl is a lonely, closeted trans girl who’s not sure she wants to stick around in this world any longer. So, it’s not exactly unwelcome when she’s pulled into another one altogether.

Plunged into the strange and dangerous land of Edgewise, Dido is made a promise: if she reaches the end of this story, she’ll have every one of her deepest, unspoken wishes granted. All she needs to do is stay alive, and fortunately she’s got some help in that department. A crack military team led by Wendy Darling and Dorothy Gale, both veterans of the worlds of fiction, are here to get her across the Edge and to the person she’s always dreamed of being.

But her new friends aren’t the heroes they once were. Wendy, stuck in her early 20s for a century after an overdose of fairy dust, is falling apart and Dorothy, now simply calling herself “Dee”, is hiding something terrible. To get through the ending, Dido’s not just going to have to save herself, but them as well.
